Previous Updates: As per SSC Exam Calendar, the Staff Selection Commission has decided to release the SSC GD Constable 2017 Notification on 23rd December and Online application form submission will be started from 23rd Dec 2017 to 23rd January 2018.

The application procedure for SSC Constable GD 2018 exam will be in two steps. For part I registration candidates have to fill all the common details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, address, email address, mobile number, category and so on. After completing the stage I online form of SSC Constable GD, aspirants have to click on submit button. By doing so, they will get registration number and password for the part II registration form. In part II registration, candidates have to enter educational qualification and then they will have to upload scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature at the definite size.

SSC Constable GD 2018 Exam Pattern :

The SSC Constable GD 2018 exam will be conducted in three main steps that are:

  1. Physical Standards Test & Physical Efficiency Test

The written examination pattern will be based on the newest form. There will be four section of objective type questions. There will be 25 questions for type and each question will carry one marks. For any wrongly answered question, 1/4th mark will be deducted.

SSC Constable GD 2018 Syllabus :

Part A: General Intelligence & Reasoning

Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

Part B: General Knowledge and General Awareness

Questions in this section will be mentioned for checking candidate’s general awareness. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc.

Part C: Elementary Mathematics

Questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc. will be included

Part D: English/Hindi
